AGE GROUPS WILL BE AS SEASON 2009/2010
As per FA Guidelines there will be no scores collected or League tables produced for the under 7’s & under 8’s Competition, all players will receive a medal of participation
All other age groups will compete for an overall winners trophy with the Top 2
teams from each league progressing to knockout stages (Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals) depending on league numbers

THIS FORM TO BE HANDED INTO REGISTRATION 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SCHEDULED START TIME.
RULES AND LAWS
A player is only permitted to play for one age group and one team per day
Any team found to be fielding a player who is or who has signed for a professional team or school of excellence within the last season will be eliminated from the competition.
A referee will be appointed to officiate each game. He shall have the same powers and duties as laid down in the laws of the game. This tournament is affiliated to the BCFA and referee’s shall submit cautions and dismissals.
The referee shall toss a coin for choice of ends. The team will only change ends if extra time is required in the KO stage. Play will start with the referee dropping the ball on the centre spot. The game will re-start in the same way after each goal.
- There is no offside.
- A goal can be scored from any part of the field of play.
- When a player takes a free kick, all opposing players MUST be at least two metres (6 feet) from the ball.
- A penalty will be taken from the penalty spot (6 yards).
- With the exception of the goalkeeper all players must be outside the penalty area and on the field of play when taking a penalty.
- Goal kicks shall be taken from the goal line. Under 8 & 9’s goal kicks can be taken from the edge of the penalty area.
Goalkeepers
- Must throw the ball into play, once they have gained control with their hands. (They cannot drop the ball on the floor and then take a kick, it must always be thrown).
- Can come out of the penalty area.
- Can kick the ball in the penalty area, providing they have not gained control with their hands.
A penalty will be awarded for the following offences:
Kicking the ball from hand (except under 7’s & under 8’s)
Handling a deliberate back-pass, from boot, from a colleague
Once goalkeepers have thrown the ball into play, they cannot touch the ball again until it has been touched by another player.
If, in the opinion of the referee, a goal scoring opportunity has been denied, whether inside, or outside, the penalty area, through foul means. (Professional foul)
Should a player be cautioned during the tournament, the player shall miss the next scheduled match. Should a player be cautioned twice or, be sent off during the tournament, that player shall take no further part in the tournament.
Any team found playing a banned player shall be disqualified and all results will be null and void
Substitutes
May only take place during stoppages and with the permission of the referee. Rolling substitutes are permitted.
Except for these provisions, the laws of the Football Association apply.
If due to inclement weather it is felt that the competition should be cancelled, this decision will be made by the tournament committee in conjunction with the referees.
Team managers will be held responsible for any damage caused by their players or supporters.
