PROUD TO BE AN F.A. CHARTER STANDARD CLUB

10th May 2012

2012 Presentation Information

We will be setting up for the presentation from 11am on Saturday 19th at the sphinx club, all managers and assistants are requested to come and help.

This year the presentation will be split in to two sessions,

The first starting at 4.00pm for under 8's, 9's, 10's, 10b's, 12's and 14's

The second starting at 5.00pm for 11's, 14b's, 15's , 16's and youth

Can you ensure all your players are sat in the rows of chairs at the front of the room ready to start 5 minutes before the start of the presentation. They need to be sat in teams with the youngest team for that session at the front working back to the eldest at the back.

We will start with presenting the squad trophies, starting with the youngest team first, the relevant manager will take to the stage say a few brief thank yous and then introduce his squad where they will start to come up to receive there trophies.

We will then move on to the individual awards, again in order of youngest team first, Parent's player for all the teams, then Coaches / most improved player, Manager's player and finally Player's player. The only exception from this is the youth team who do not present awards for parent's player and most improved player.

I'm sure it goes without saying but can you ensure 4 different players receive the awards.

Following the conclusion of the first presentation can all the managers and assistants help to clear and tidy the room ready for the 2nd presentation?

Due to the lack of time and Longy who normally organises it getting married in a couple of weeks there will not be a program this year.

 3rd April 2012

Registration Secretary.

Can all managers please ask their parents if any of them would like to take on one of two or three new roles on the junior committee as a registration secretary; this season we have relied entirely on Tony to be responsible for the registration for all our teams and with the increased amount of players moving between clubs it has become far too big a task on top of all the secretarial duties he has to carry out. We would like to have two or three new registration secretary's that will be responsible for a few teams each. They would also become committee members who can take on as many or as few extra tasks as they wish; Mum's, Dad's, Auntie's, Uncle's or grandparents, anyone who is willing to give up a little of their time would be greatly appreciated.

Please don't read this and think somebody else will act on it and do nothing, we really need as much support as possible to keep the junior section running, we have run with too few doing too much for far too long and to run efficiently we need to start spreading the load. Should we not be successful in recruiting for these positions we will have to ask the managers to register their own teams next season.

If you have anybody interested can you ask them to call Tony on 07831 555020.

Fundrazor.com

The club have joined an exclusive sports membership scheme with a national company called Fundrazor. It will give the club the opportunity  access some great local entertainment events while raising funds for the club at the same time.

Presentation Shirts

Can all managers please return all presentation dress shirts that are too small as soon as possible (washed please). Stocks of shirts are running very low and to avoid a very large bill for new shirts we need to recycle the shirts we have before the tour and club presentation.

Presentation Night

Following positive feedback from last years club presentation at the Sphinx Club we are please to announce this years presentation will again be at the club on Saturday 19th May 2012.

Andy  Blair's Sports Supplies

Obviously we need to control our spending on equipment for training and for kit and to enable that control all kit purchases from Andy Blair's Sports Supplies must be co-ordinated by Nigel Starkey or Steve Cranage. If for some reason you need to request kit from Andy Blair's yourself, you must obtain a docket detailing your requirements from Nigel or Steve. You will be refused credit from the store if you are not in possession of the aforementioned docket.

Coventry City Scouts Protocol

Following a meeting with the head of recruitment, Mark Foggerty, at Coventry City's Academy; below is an outline of the protocol all Coventry City scouts should follow, if you have any experiences in the future where the scout hasn't followed that protocol would you please notify Steve Cranage who has been asked to report any such incidences to Mark.

  • Where possible the scout should notify you in advance they will be at your game (although we must accept this is not always possible)

  • If at the game the scout should introduce themselves to you at a suitable time, if possible before the game. They should show you I.D, you  are advised to check the date as any scouts I.D is only valid for one year.

  • If they are interested in one of your players, they should speak to you after the game and ask to be introduced to the players parents. At no point should they go directly to the parents.

Academy experience is something we encourage for all our players so we would ask you support any scout who follows the correct protocol and help them in contacting any player's parents they would like to speak to.

16th September

Teamsheets

It is important when completing match sheets, you put all the players full names, not just initials and surnames.

Referees

Can you all make an effort to be welcoming to referees when they arrive at the club. It was raised at the league meeting that some referees are not being made to feel too welcome when they arrive at some grounds, it was not directed at any of our teams.

12th September 2011
